So, one (semi) week of work down, and… about 40 more years to go? No, more than that! The retirement age is ever climbing upward!
Overall, not a bad week. There were some sore times. Yesterday I was home sick, with a migraine, which sucked big time, but I’m over it by today, and looking forward to the weekend, and next week!
I love having a busy schedule. One thing I could count on in Katimavik, was always having something planned, whether it be a run-of-the-mill activity, or a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. It’s something I’ve missed during the last few months of “adjusting,” (read: “slacking.”). I used to whine about my lack of a life, and my mom used to tell me it would pick up once I started working again, and wouldn’t you know it, she was right! (Just don’t tell her that!) All of a sudden, my calendar is full, and I’m beginning to have a lot of fun again!
First up, is the west coast Katima-reunion! Anny (from Williams Lake, BC) called me late last week to say that she was coming to Calgary for a visit. So, I called up Nick and Jade (who are in Edmonton. Nick is from there, Jade is from Quebec), and they’re probably coming into the city tomorrow. Then, (They’re not coming
) Anny is coming on Sunday afternoon, and we’re going to have lunch, or something. At least, that is the rough plan! We are so unorganized, and leaving planning to the last minute, but c’est la vie! Anyway, then I’ve asked for Monday off, so Anny and I can hang out and do whatever we want! I suppose Anny will leave my humble abode on Tuesday, and it’s back to work for me, but only for two days! On Thursday, I have my much anticipated Katimavik presentation at Crescent (my high school). Then, one more day at work, and the company Xmas party at Kananaskis over the weekend!
It’s all going to rush by so fast, and I’m very excited!
I apologize once again for the “personal,” entries lately. I know, it’s my personal site, but I feel badly for potentially boring you! While, I, personally, find reading about the little goings on in people’s lives fascinating, not everyone does! I’m just having trouble coming up with a lovely, interesting topic, so if you have any ideas, please let me know!
Your life is interesting, though! I enjoy reading about it – I don’t find it boring at all.
I can feel your excitement! with! all! the! ex! cla! ma! tion! marks!
Can anyone else see the entry fields for Name, Email, Website next to Yaklee’s comment? Weird. And only on this entry as well. Bizarre.
I only don’t blog about the goings on in my life, because I don’t actually have one outside of work! So it’s nice to hear about the details of others when they blog.
Don’t feel guilty about it!
