Oh, I love musicals too and my favorite musical is Annie, it just appeals very well to both my optimism and my love for nostalgia. And I dig the song Take me or leave me, I even made new lyrics to it last year when I had writing-block while writing Nanowrimo (I called it “I’ll buy wordcount for sale”). You should listen to the soundtrack from the musical Wicked, it has Idina Menzel to and it’s a wonderful story. I’m completely addicted to it at the moment

Oh no sorry for double posting, but I forgot to mention how much I love the classic musicals as well! Gene Kelly, Fred Astaire and Julie Andrews are some of the greatest musical stars ever!

Have you seen The Producers? I’ve seen it on Broadway 3 years ago, and I seriously never laughed so much in life! It wass the most hilarious piece of entertainment I’ve ever seen. I think being German and understanding German made it even funnier for me than for the average audience, but it’s still pretty amazing.
Unfortunately the 2005 movie version doesn’t compare to the live show, somehow it’s much more fun when you see it on stage.

I’ve also seen Wicked two years ago, I can highly recommend that too for your next visit on Broadway

Yes, there is! For me it’s Hairspray, both the original and the new one which just so happens to have been filmed at my school. Which wouldn’t make me biased in any way, of course.

Musicals are amazing! Whether they’re modern or old, they’re just simply enchanting. I love Wicked, and of course, The Sound of Music.

I love some musicals – like the Sound of Music. But I don’t like others… Either way, though, I’d love to be on Broadway (right now) watching a musical.

This is somewhat related, but not especially… I’ve always wanted to see an opera, but I’ve yet to have the chance.

I love Phantom of the Opera because it is SEXY beyond all measure. Blues Brothers is another one of my favourites because it combines elaborate car pile ups with brilliant music. Little Pet Shop of Horrors – it has a talking plant that says ‘tough titties’ which should be enough to convince anyone. Freaking ace.

I love musicals too! Some of my favorites are The Sound of Music, Hairspray, and Cats. Sweeney Todd was pretty good too! I love when people just burst into song. I wish real life was like that. It’d be much more lively and entertaining for sure.

How dare you speak of musicals without mentioning Fred Astaire! You deserve a good correction. When I start working, the big boxset of Fred Astaire/Ginger Rogers movies is one of the first things I will buy.
