I wanna see this. D: I also want to read the book. Along with a million other books I need to read and movies I need to see. From the trailer, the movie does look really vivid and brilliant.

P.S. Watch Where the Wild Things Are! :P That movie is also vividly beautiful and emotional.

I hated the Lovely Bones movie. It just.. it was nothing worth watching after having read the book millions of times years ago. Alice Sebold is a great writer but Peter’s movie rendition does not portray that at all. I will admit some of the scenes were vivid with colors and a bit ‘awe’ in some parts.. But that’s all the movie did to me was just look good.

Further proving that book to movies never do the book any justice. I kind of wish I never saw the movie.

I’m glad to see such a positive review for it! I wanted to see it this weekend, but we opted to see “The Book of Eli” instead. Which was an okay movie, but I’m not sure that I would want to see it again. I can’t wait to see “The Lovely Bones” now. I’m not sure if I should read the book first or not, though!

I’m passing on this movie, just because I really, really disliked the book (I thought it was way overhyped for what it actually was). I didn’t connect the fact that it was Stanley Tucci as the neighbor in this film until last week’s Golden Globes. When I realized what character he played in The Lovely Bones, I was shocked because I couldn’t picture the guy from The Devil Wears Prada and Julie & Julia as someone creepy!

Ah, I know exactly what you mean with not wanting see The Boy In the Striped Pyjamas.

I do actually want to see this movie, if only just to have seen it once coz I did like the other movie but likie you wouldn’t want to watch it again. It is sad.

I really want to see the movie! I thought the book was amazing, and the movie looks so good. Usually I don’t watch movies based on books, but it just looks too good to pass up.
