Being someone who has had a heart attack (not the same as a stroke, but along the same lines) and goes in for check ups regularly, I urge anyone who has spare change to make a donation, no matter how small. It could really help the situation.

A stroke is what killed my grandmother and so I am very supportive of our heart and stroke fund. I am very glad to hear that you dad is still doing well. I hope it stays that way for you.

My family on my mother’s side has a history of heart disease. My grandfather had a quadruple bypass last year and is still in the hospital. I will definitely be donating this month.

I don’t live in the US or Canada, so this is the first I’ve heard about Heart Month and it won’t affect me. However, I think it’s great that it exists, as it’s an extremely worthy cause and it deserves a lot more recognition. If we have an equivalent of Heart Month over here, I don’t know about it, so it can’t be particularly widely publicised(or I have a memory like a sieve, one or the other). :3
