Well well, look who’s on summer vacation. Jealous? I think so.
If you follow me on Twitter, you probably are already well aware of how I kicked off my summer break from school. As a quick recap, I spent Tuesday evening at a BBQ at a friend’s, Wednesday evening at the on campus bar with a bunch of classmates and our instructors, Thursday evening shopping with friends followed by a crazy night around town with some other friends, Friday I went home at 9am and then went shopping all day and then for dinner with some family, and Saturday night found me at Aussie Rules for my darling Lissa’s 22nd birthday party.
Let’s see some pics from the nights! :P

Um, yeah. To put it delicately, my liver hurts, and I’m kind of beginning to understand why I much prefer to be a dork, at home in my pyjamas watching movies and surfing the ‘net. I did have TONNES of fun, the most fun I’ve had in a while, but OH MY GOD I am EXHAUSTED.
One of the highlights of the weekend was that I got my dress for my cousin’s wedding in June. It will be the first big family event in a few years, so it’s pretty exciting. The bridal shower is in two weeks, and then the wedding is coming up so fast! For once, picking a dress was painless. Usually, I am quite fussy and awful to be around when choosing outfits for large events, so it was rather strange. During Friday’s shopping excursion, we went to Le Chateau and I saw the dress hanging wayyyy up on the wall, and I told my mom I liked it. But, it was Friday, and considering what I’d been up to on Thursday, I wasn’t feeling up to trying anything on. I did, however, try it on Saturday, and it was awesome and perfect and great. And I also got shoes. And my dad footed the $250 bill. So, it was pretty sweet. Now I just need some sort of necklace, and a hair colour that will match the style of dress (I’m thinking more of a dark auburn), and I’m set! But that’s a month and a bit off yet, so no need to worry about it now.
Okay, so, we’ve covered summer and shopping, so now… stuff! Stuff in the life of Ling is as dramatic as ever! It’s like I never get a break from the crazy. Ah well. Speaking of which, my Twitter account is now private (and was taken off the blog a few days ago), so if you’d been putting off adding me as a follower for whatever reason, you may want to do that now.
I love the stormy clouds outside my window right now. And I loved how they contrasted with the sun up until a few minutes ago. I love when the weather reflects what I’m feeling and right now I feel like I’m about to burst into a million tiny pieces, but I’m still trying to stay optimistic. The wind warning just became a winter storm warning, which probably means another blizzard in my Northern bit of the city.
Happy Summer.
Oh my, I LOVE that dress so much! You must take photos of you in it at your cousin’s wedding, so we can see it in all it’s glory.
I also totally know what you mean about your liver hurting. I did that at the beginning of April, I had a taxation exam the next day, and it took me three days to fully recover, lol.
Ooh that is such a pretty dress. Personally all shopping of any kind sends me into epileptic fits, and the idea of having to get a dress… omg that makes it so much worse. Glad it was painless for you this go around.
Enjoy your summer! I am jealous!
*high five for already being on summer vacation*
And that dress is adorable! I love dress shopping, but sometimes it’s so hard to find a nice dress. Yours is gorgeous!
adorable dress and just as adorable of a blog!
I love the dress & agree with the dark hair. Just not blonde. I don’t think that would work with the white on top. But that is just my opinion.
I am glad you had fun, but I do agree with you. I would have been exhausted after all that.
I WANT THE DRESS. Give it to meeee.

I really need to start wearing dresses though… should try a more feminine look for a change.
