My Internet routine looks something like this:
- Check email. (I get lots of emails, but not a lot of particularly interesting ones.)
- Check Twitter. Twitter about something.
- Check Facebook.
- Check the one forum that I still post at. (Which has been pretty slow lately.)
- Read blogs. (Also pretty slow, probably for the same reasons as above. Which probably has something to do with it being exam season.)
- Mindlessly flip through sites such as Failbook, Oddly Specific and FailBlog.
- Repeat.
Pretty boring, yes? And the list gets smaller throughout the day, to the point where my only options at this moment are Facebook and… well, writing this boring blog entry. (And, no, I didn’t spend my whole day on the computer. I slept in, I actually did some laundry, and I even left my house for a few hours.)
Give me suggestions for new things to do online. I’d love some more blogs to add to my blogroll, or random lulzy things to look at, or something interesting to read, or something geeky. I’m not picky.
I only need to keep myself entertained for a few more days, until I start working for the summer, and my life goes back to the crazy busyness that I know and love so well. Go! Go! Go!
Comment on my blog. That should kill a good two minutes at least.
Catroulette, icanread.blogspot.com and thingsweforget.blogspot.com. I also find that bloglovin has a good list of fashion and photography blogs~ =)
You could, um, help me research what past and present governments have done/are doing to prevent youth crime.
Or not… just a suggestion. Haha.
There are tons of communities to hang out – if you like books, you might like goodreads.com. If you’re into knitting, check out ravelry.com. For randomness, soup.io, and for boredom, there’s always wikipedia. A great waste of time is also howrse.com/?parrain=raevynn – if you like horses
Stumbleupon; rejoin the quilting bee and take part in the egg hunt; do some reviews on rev.iew.me; add some new topics to aforementioned slow forum; find me some rubbish sites to review… any help to you? :P
If you haven’t already you should check out notalwaysright.com, they have some hilarious posts. I frequent it daily.
Reply: A run-in that I had with a customer at my old job is actually on that site.
I recommend http://theoatmeal.com. That website makes me very happy. Also, http://deviantart.com, but only if you search “lesbians” and look at the emotive portraits :P.
Webcomics!!
http://www.harkavagrant.com Because Kate Beaton is my idol!
How about online based games? Evony isn’t so bad… although slooow. But if you get a few going you can switch between tabs and see if anything happened
I used to really like The West it took a long time to do tasks but it meant to you could set it to do something and walk away and come back later.
There is also Grepolis which is similar but ancient Greece.
Other than that… whuddleworld?
YOU LEFT THE QBEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHAT! Did we do something wrong? Please come back, I will miss Ling. You have to come back.
You could tell me how I need to straighten up Amarantine, lol.
Seriously, come back to the QBee.
I always read FML and webcomics when I’m bored
It’s rather fun to go through the entire archives of a webcomic :P
Read the never ending amount of news articles on the state of the world.
I’m all for informing ourselves.
