Blah blah blah. This will be stuff nobody cares about, but I’ve always blogged about stuff that nobody cares about, why stop now?
I always do lists. Let’s do subheadings with little blurbs today, yeah?
WYSIWYG is a LIAR
My main beef today is with WYSIWYG. I know we all hate it, but I hate it more than usual. See, usually, the problem is that you make something look alright with WYSIWYG and then you look at the code and it is CHAOS. In the case of what I was dealing with today (at my new job), the code output was fine (not award winning, just fine), but the way it was displaying in the editor made no sense. It was marked up as a list, and if I clicked on it, I could tell it was a list by seeing like “li” bit in the path display thing, but it didn’t have any bullets (in the case of unordered lists) or numbers (…ordered lists) in the text area. And, really, does that not defeat the purpose of WYSIWYG which is really designed for people who would have no clue what “li” means and need to see actual bullets? And Google couldn’t help me. So. What you get is not what you see, and I’m mad.
Non-Casual Biking That I Actually Approve Of
We all know that I’m bringing casual biking back, but my views on non-casual biking were put to the test today, and I have decided that some sorts are okay. In this case, it comes down to my former Katimavik PL, Joanne, and an event she is taking part in, in late June. She will be going on a two day cycle trip from Montreal to Ottawa to raise money for a cancer support center. I think it’s really cool, and if you’re interested in that sort of thing, you can learn more at their Facebook group.
Brock’s New Single, “Edge”, Coming Soon!
My adorable little pop star cousin has just announced that his 3rd single “Edge (End of the World)” will be available June 1st! There’s also a whole LOT of stuff coming up (although most of it is still top secret at this time), so you should watch BrockZanrosso.com for (more frequent, hopefully!) updates from me. Some of you are Brock’s very first non-related fans, and I really appreciate those of you who have supported him! And I apologize in advance for the excessive promo that will probably happen on Twitter.
I’m boring, I know ._.
I understand that I’m boring right now, just please bear with me! Honestly, my life at the moment involves working and squeezing in time with friends, and taking care of ongoing responsibilities. After four years of this, it can sometimes be hard to find something to talk about that I haven’t written about already. I find myself becoming rather repetitive (or pulling out stories from 4 years ago!).
KBYE!
Don’t apologise for being boring. At least you’re still blogging!
Good luck to Joanne and Brock!
I agree with Nellie…at least you’re still blogging! And very consistently at that too. Plus you still have many dedicated followers who read every word you write
You should definitely apologise for being boring. You SUCK.
Just kidding :P
I never did like wysiwyg. Just thought it was easier to write my own code.
WYSIWYG drives me absolutely bonkers…especially with all the crummy code that any Microsoft publishers put in there. first time visiting your blog and I was beyond stoked to see that you herald from the same city as I
oh i SO hear you on WYSIWYG.. it can be such a PAAAAIN!
