Hey, my name is Aisling (say it like “Ashleen”), but my friends call me Ling, Aisy or Ash! I’m a 22 year old extremely liberal girl living in the conservative heartland of Canada. I am a past Katimavik participant, a current New Media student (working for an online marketing agency over the summer), a future know-it-all and an aspiring xylophonist. I enjoy cupcakes, bright colours, loud music and smart, talented people who read this blog!
Have you ever wondered what I do all day? If you thought I spent a lot of time on the computer, and am addicted to Twitter… well, you’re right. But, there’s SO much more!
On today’s TLS, you get to follow me around for a whole day! See me when I wake up, take the bus, while I’m in class, while I’m with friends, and more! Special past guests of The Ling Show also make reappearances, including Ryley and Shawn (the bros), Carrie (the singer/ my girl chat buddy) and Dudley (my formerly scary web dev instructor who prefers to be at the beach at Xmas!).
Well, me and the other girls at TLS finally grabbed a chance to shoot another episode of your favourite online variety talk show! First, we need a disclaimer:
Episode 4 of The Ling Show is not intended for all audiences. Mainly because somewhere in the middle we all completely lost our minds, and the entire thing descended into chaos. In that chaos, things were said that probably should not be heard by people whom we wish to still respect us. Also, probably not by children. So, if you are above 13, and okay with a little PLAYFUL crude humour, please do continue on!
On that note, it might be the most entertaining episode yet, if you’re into that sort of thing.
This episode contains dating tips which could be handy to know during this time of year. That’s all I’m saying.
Now, if you’ll excuse me, I am watching women’s Olympic hockey! GO CANADA GOOOOO! (The score is 7-0 for Canada, against Slovakia, so I probably don’t need to watch the game to know the result.)
So, The Ling Show usually goes up on Thursday, because… everyone knows the best shows are on Thursday! Today, however, it’s on a Wednesday, because I am working and taking part in family events tomorrow! So, The Ling Show… ON A SPECIAL DAY, for THE CHRISTMAS SPECIAL.
The Christmas Special features MANY special guests, including:
My Asian friend, Kaman, discussing Christmas with her White Family.
My Web Development instructor, Dudley, telling us about Christmas in New Zealand.
My Longest Friend (both in years and in… well, length. As far as girls go.), Lissa, bakes us some Caramel Toffee Squares! (While I giggle, a lot. I HATE my giggle. )
ANYWAY!
It’s a long one, but hopefully it will keep you entertained, because The Ling Show is now on hiatus for THREE WEEKS until I’m back at school (the week of January 11th). Until then, you can bake some yummy Caramel Toffee Squares, or watch past episodes of TLS. As always, let us know what you thought in the comments! And if you have any suggestions for future shows, send those along as well!
Happy Holidays from the various SAIT NMPD Year One Group B students that work on TLS, and our friends!
