Stampede season is in full swing right now, and on my first visit down to the grounds this year, I got to experience it in a bit of a different way!
My friend, and former Katimavik family member, Anna Dell, has spent the last year representing BC as a BC Ambassador. The Ambassador program, from what I could gather, is a business-focused scholarship program open to former municipal ambassadors and royalty. Every year in July, for the last 10 years that I’ve been blogging, I’ve probably mentioned that my city has turned incredibly cowboy. We have this event called Stampede, we dress up, we watch rodeo, we go on rides, we eat pancakes for free… it’s kind of awesome/annoying/amusing. All at once.

So, I have a favour to ask you guys. My new pal, Kaden, is taking part in a pretty wicked competition for The Trevor Project called Be The Change. The Trevor Project is an organization that helps in preventing suicide of LGBTQ youth. This is a cause that is very important to me, and I think that Kaden is doing an excellent job of getting his voice out in favour of LGBTQ youth, not only in the US, but all over.
